meet Amanda
I hope through my work to introduce to others the resources to create their own maps and pathways.
I am a registered psychologist and professional creative arts therapist, and trained extensively in the Halprin Method in the USA. This model is an integration of movement/dance, visual arts, nature-connected therapy, performance techniques, and therapeutic practices. I gained my MA in arts therapy at Whitecliffe College in Auckland, New Zealand. I have worked extensively in movement-based creative arts therapy for over 30 years and have taught at postgraduate level for many years. I specialise in the relationship between body feelings, emotions and well-being. I offer creative arts therapy to individuals and couples of all genders and run training labs and participatory creative projects. I am an approved supervisor and offer supervision to practitioners of Creative Arts Therapy as well as professionals in related fields.
